Description - Research Areas
 The laboratory aims to facilitate the needs for applied research in the fields of Project and Programme Management, Operational Research, Decision Support, Logistics, Investment Appraisal, and Quality Management. The rising need for rational planning, effective scheduling and monitoring of projects and programmes ensures that Project Management should be more accurate in order to produce faster, easier and more target-oriented results. Furthermore, organizations today need to take complex decisions and this can be achieved with the use of modern tools such as lineal programming, game theory, multicriteria analysis, etc.
Furthermore, the laboratory aims to offers services to enterprises in the areas of its purpose and especially in the areas of project management and operational research.
Services to Third Parties
1.       Consultancy services to organization and enterprises in the area of project management and operational research
2.       Develop strategic plans
3.       Management of projects and programmes
4.       Development of project management offices
5.       Development of management quality systems
6.       Performance appraisals for organizations, programmes and projects
7.       To conduct research on selected management areas
Activities
 1.       Provide consultancy services to organization and enterprises in the area of project management and operational research
2.       Develop statistical indices, collect data for projects and programmes in Greece, and provide consultancy in these areas.
3.       Develop the theoretical background in the area of PM (eg. scheduling, project complexity, decision making)
4.       Develop strategic Project, Programme and Portfolio Management  for organisations
5.       Study and report on specific project cases (eg. self-financed projects, PPPs)
Report on specific industry sectors by conducting specialized studies  (construction industry, informatics)
Research Equipment and Infrastructure
1.        Full equipped laboratories 
2.        Availability of major PM (e.g. Primavera, MS Project, SAP)  and statistical software (SPSS, Minitab)
